More info

When a food order ticket is displayed on a KDS screen various changing background, header bar and border colorizations and pattern schemes will be activated to indicate information pertaining to order aging, priority, completion status, etc.

Each order ticket will also include the list of the food line items in an abbreviated format along with other alpha numeric information or icons to communicate items such as modifiers, order prep time, miscellaneous timers, preparation status, completion status, the ticket number, the table number, server name, terminal source, etc.

Food order modifiers, cook times or add in items can also be displayed to specify changes, omissions, additions, and processes; Examples: "Well done", "No cheese" or "Extra onions".

Since some food items require additional preparation before cooking these items can be programmed to appear first on the screen.

Each of the current food order tickets are displayed together simultaneously in a grid pattern on the KDS screen. The screen size and system set up determine the number of order tickets and the layout that can be displayed.

The system can also be programmed to signal the different stages of food order preparation and display images of plating examples for increased order accuracy, food order item contents, item summaries and order summaries. All day lists AKA the entire days orders, order reservations, special orders or the days order history, open orders, speed of service times and much more can also be displayed.

As you can see the screen display can be customized many different ways. Discuss all of the options with your system vendor.
