The mounting systems shown on this page have been assembled as pre-configured packages to simplify the selection of all of the necessary components needed to support your KDS equipment. All of the individual components are also available separately.
These pre-configured mounting system packages are only a small sample of the many options we have available. Contact the PQS sales team if you need a custom mounting system designed specifically for your application.
Currently we do not offer pre-configured packages for Counter Top, Under Counter, Ceiling or Pole mounting as more than 90% of all KDS screens are are supported by shelf edge mounts.
However, we do have an excellent selection of individual components for Counter Top, Under Counter, Ceiling or Pole mounting. These individual components are available on our website.

Kitchen Display Systems
An easy to understand tutorial
The POS/ KDS Connection
Basic
The POS and KDS software platforms are designed to be compatible so that they can share information and deliver expanded total systems functionality.
Note that there may be some minimal additional training needed for the servers when migrating from a kitchen information system that is based on printers to one based on screens.
The KDS software must be carefully configured by the system vendor working with the chef or other team member that has intimate knowledge of all of the food items and the modifiers.
Once configured, the KDS software will recognize all of the different types of food items in the accompanying order including the modifiers or add ins and the preparation and cook times necessary for each item. The information is all processed instantaneously and then routed to each of the individual screens located at each of the various different kitchen production/work stations and to the screens located in the expediter area.
More info
Once a server enters a food order into the point of sale system the information is automatically shared with the kitchen display system software. The existing POS terminals and tablets thus become the primary source of data that is input to the KDS system.
