Bar Display System

Basic

BDS = Bar Display System.

A BDS system is a Kitchen Display System that has been modified to work with beverage alcohol order preparation in bars.

A BDS system delivers all of the same benefits to your beverage alcohol orders associated with bar operations that a KDS system provides for all of the food orders prepared in your kitchen.

BDS/Bar Display System Benefits

BDS is a relatively new concept that many operators and vendors are unaware of. The following items are the basic benefits of implementing a BDS system;

     1. Dramatically decreasing individual order preparation time which reduces order delivery time.

     2. Markedly reduces order inaccuracies.

     3. Increases efficiency for both bar tenders and servers.

     4. Increases total beverage alcohol sales.

     5. Possible reduction in the costs of bar labor scheduled for peak periods.

     6. Provides bar related speed of service data analysis to identify individual user problems or site specific operational problems.

By combining existing technology with innovative systems design Practical Quality Systems Inc. A design, manufacturing and service company developed the original BDS concept in 2009.

Since that time hundreds of systems have been implemented via both retrofit and new installation at several nationwide restaurant chains.

All operators using BDS have experienced consistent, significant reductions in beverage alcohol order prep times and increased profits.

Beverage alcohol sales play a crucial role in the economic model of the top chain restaurant companies. Most restaurants expect alcohol sales to account for approximately 30 percent of their total revenue. In reality, many restaurant chains fall into the 10-20 percent region while a few stand outs have alcohol sales which account for as much as 40 percent or more of their total revenue.

Sales report studies reveal that even a one percent, constant increase in beverage alcohol sales via BDS technology enhancement easily justifies implementation. Operators doing long term sales data analysis have realized increases which are substantially higher.

Wouldn’t it be great if you could virtually extend the operating hours of your bar by simply freeing up lost time?

What would an extra hour of bar sales everyday be worth?
